Fact: The final nine episodes of our beloved show came out last week.

Fact: We were too entangled in our day-to-day lives to watch the episodes immediately.

Fact: A few hours ago, we purchased all of Book Three on iTunes, and as of about 20 minutes ago, have concluded our screening of the episodes up to and including the finale.

Fact: We are BLOWN AWAY by the JAW DROPPING spectacularity of Avatar’s conclusion. As in WE FREAKING LOVED IT.

Fact: We will therefore return (though of course, we would have done so anyway) with our recaps and in-depth discussions beginning with The Western Air Temple as soon as we possibly can.

Fact: Ergo, you, our dear, dear listeners, should most definitely stay tuned for for our new episodes, which should be released shortly.

Fact: Finally, you should in no way hesitate to begin emailing us (at bendercast@yahoo.com) with your reactions to the finale; our finale-’cast is sure to be packed to brim with our own opinions, and we really want to hear yours as well!

And so, at last, we are yours in Aang’s glowiness,
Michelle and Hailey

Hi everyone! So, unfortunately we aren’t going to be able to record the new episode for a few days. (Sorry!) To make it up to you, we’re going to try to make this episode a bit longer than usual, and we’ve decided to read all the Avatar-centric emails (received from now until we record) on the show. (Okay, it’s not that exciting. But it’s something!) So send your questions, theories, rants and raves, whatever to bendercast@yahoo.com and hear us discuss it on the show!

Keep in mind: Bendercast is still spoiler-free, so we will only read emails pertaining to episodes up to and including “The Day of Black Sun.”

We look forward to hearing from you!

Hey everyone! We know it’s been a while (a long while) but we should be back to our semi-regularly scheduled programing this weekend with a discussion of “The Blue Spirit.” (And due to the craziness of both our lives lately, it will probably be the first time we really sit down and talk in like, two weeks. So stay tuned, it ought to be exciting.)

In the meantime, we’d like to let all our listeners who share our love for Harry Potter know about an absolutely amazing Harry Potter podcast called Harry Potter Prognostications. It is hosted by Greg and Penny, and they’ve been going strong with intelligent, thoughtful and hilarious Potter-themed discussion for over a year now. They recently gave us a much-appreciated plug, and we hope you’ll help us return the favor by heading over to HPProgs.com and giving them a listen.* And if you’re a listener of HPProgs who found us through Greg and Penny, let us know in the comments!

Enjoy!

* Just be aware, Harry Potter Prognostications can be PG-13 at times, so if you need to ask your parents, make sure they are okay with it!

Hi everyone! As our Avatar-drought grows longer, and our final exams draw closer (gulp!) we decided that we needed to crack down and do a new episode. Problem: there aren’t any new episodes to podcast. (Well… not legally, anyway. And after much thought and deliberation, we decided to stay on the right side of the law. For now!) So we decided to select a few episodes from season one and let you decide which one we should podcast about! You can vote in the poll below. <strike>We aren’t sure when we’ll be able to sit down and record, so for now, this poll is open-ended.</strike>

Update: We will probably be recording sometime next Wednesday (the 9th) so make sure you get your votes in before then! Oh, and if it’s a tie, we’ll probably just pick whichever of the two we like better.

May the most popular episode win, and have a Happy New Year!

Due to certain recent events, we may be back with another podcast far sooner than we expected… but until then, we have just a bit of Bendercast related news for you!

One of our totally awesome listeners, Brandon, very graciously set up a Facebook group for us, and then we decided to make a profile for ourselves! So now you can join our group, or become our friend on Facebook– and don’t forget to spread the word to your fellow avatards! (And check out Brandon’s drawing in the “photos” section. It’s amazing!)

Note: We know that many of our listeners are younger than we are, and since Facebook is geared to people in their upper teens and twenties, many of you may not have accounts there. If you fall into this category and would still like to join, please ask your parents before signing up. (They know what’s good for you WAY more than we do!)

This will likely constitute our last episode for some time as the airdate for “The Western Air Temple” has yet to be released, but stay tuned! Significant events in the Avatar-verse may very well present opportunities for more episodes, so…
